AUD, the performance is mixed, but there are some great moments.

JC Mahoney & Dan Oneil taped this upfront using Dan's Schoeps gear, which I later acquired.

I used to have a cassette master of this DAT in the early 90's that I received from Keith Weiner who lived (or lives) in Los Gatos, CA. This might not

be from his DAT directly but he must've been plugged into to this source that night; all the crowd noise and cheers sound very familiar. This got a lot of airtime for me back then because it is such a great FOB recording. It's certainly not the best show but this source is a really nice Phil zone capture. The band was loose that night, Vince's keys aren't really prominent in the mix and Bruce is actually fairly dominant. The Birdsong is very nice and predrums is very well played (one of my favorite combos: China>Rider, Playin'> Terrapin). And yes, Jer blows off the solo in Stella Blue. Why? Who knows. The entire post space is rather uneventful. Going back and giving it another listen, it is really amazing to have the same audience source that I listened to all those years ago. It almost seems Jerry is leaning on Bruce a little musically; probably not the best thing. Jerry does have a few sleepy moments but also some moments of brilliance. I still think this is a nice listen, for this period.
